Coming up

Peter HallidayPeter Halliday in Conversation – 29 September 2021, 7pm

Join the Heritage Crafts Association in conversation with Peter Halliday, an innovative and exciting calligrapher – pushing the boundaries of letterforms, but always responding to the text and producing distinctive and unique pieces of work as a result. His work has been described as ‘characteristically innovative and technically adventurous, reflecting the broad based, problem solving approach of his training’. Peter’s work is in a number of prestigious collections including the Houghton Library and the Fitzwilliam Museum, and his exciting artworks have been shown in many important exhibitions. But Peter does not just rest on his own laurels, he has taught in schools and adults for many years, passing on the skills to ensure that the craft continues.
