Pottery worker / assistant

Wick & Ceramic Ltd are recruiting an assistant pottery worker to join their team from mid-September to Christmas. Attention to detail and good memory is also essential. You’ll need be able to multitask, and feel just as comfortable working on your own as you do as part of their small team.

Responsibilities:

• Glazing pottery and kiln unloading (training provided).
• Leading and assisting with pottery clubs and workshops.
• Hosting children’s birthday parties on Sundays.
• Studio Upkeep: Keep things tidy, clean, organised, and stocked.

Requirements: 

• A genuine interest in creativity, art, or pottery (experience with ceramics is a bonus but not essential). This role can be offered on an apprenticeship basis, with full training provided as part of the job.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required is essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality or similar.

The hours will be 10am–6pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays (10m-4pm), with flexibility appreciated.
