Trainee Joiner

Benjamin’s workshop are seeking a a trainee joiner to join their growing team. The role’s focus will be to assist the head joiner and project joiners by delivering basic tasks towards the company’s projects.

Workshop asks include: 

– Sanding
– Routering
– Edging
– Building carcases
– Mark hinges + holes
– Priming
– Oiling
– Cleaning and tidying

Onsite tasks include: 

– Delivering work
– Loading in and out
– Small snags
– Assisting installers

You will be directly supervised by the head joiner and will learn directly from them on the job. As you develop in the role, you will have the opportunity to expand the scope of tasks you undertake. You will receive training on the machinery including panel saw, when it is considered safe to do so. You will become familiar with the company’s systems and processes through assisting and will enjoy increasing responsibility as you develop in the role.
