Training bursary check-in and evaluation

Thank you for being part of the Heritage Crafts Training Bursary programme. Your progress matters to us — not just so we can understand how your training is going, but so we can show the real impact of supporting craft skills across the UK. Your updates help us champion craft, secure future funding, and share learning that benefits others following in your footsteps.

This page brings everything together in one place. Whenever you need to submit a check-in or complete your final evaluation, you can return here and use the links below.

Check-ins

As part of your bursary, we ask you to complete up to two checkins during your training. If you would like to submit more, you are most welcome! These are short updates that help us understand:

  • how your training is progressing
  • any challenges you’re facing
  • any support you might need
  • early outcomes or successes you’d like to share

Check-ins don’t need to be long — just honest and reflective. They help us stay connected with you and make sure you’re getting the most from your bursary.

It should take no longer than 15 mins to complete.

Final evaluation

When your training is complete, we ask you to fill in a final evaluation form. This is your chance to tell the full story of your bursary experience — what you learned, how your skills have developed, and what difference the bursary has made to your craft practice.

Your evaluation helps us:

  • demonstrate the value of supporting craft training
  • share inspiring stories with funders and partners (if appropriate)
  • understand what worked well and what could have been improved
  • support future makers by sharing your learning

Please take your time with this form. The more detail you can give, the more we can learn from your experience.

It should take no longer than 30mins to complete.

Tips for completing the forms:

  • You can complete the forms on a computer, tablet or phone.
  • If you need to pause, you can save your progress and return later (you will need to create an
account in JotForm to do this).
  • Be as open as you feel comfortable — your reflections help shape the future of the
    programme.
  • If you have photos, examples of work, or evidence of your training, please upload them
    where the form allows.
  • If anything isn’t working or you need help, you can contact us at any time.

We’re here to support you for the long-run
