Zakara Akhonzada, Tailoring and sewing

Zakara Akhonzada, from London, has made clothes for friends and family for many years and is striving to become a skilled tailor in a number of styles including traditional Afghan attire. She was awarded a training bursary in 2025, that funded her place on the pattern cutting, waistcoat making and tailoring courses at Fashion Enter.

Zakara’s bursary was supported by the Capri Holdings Foundation.
