Rob Girling, Diamond cutting

Robert Girling, from Lancashire,  was awarded the Endangered Crafts Fund in 2026, to purchase specialist machinery and establish a functional diamond cutting workshop, expanding his lapidary skills into traditional diamond cutting and passing this endangered knowledge on to future generations.

This grant was funded by the Julia Rausing Trust and a private donor.
