Nancy Johnston, upholstering

Nancy Johnston, from Kingston-upon-Thames, is an oboist and music educator who has developed traditional furniture upholstery skills through adult education classes. She was awarded a training bursary in 2026 to fund the first year of the AMUSF Diploma at Shoreditch Design Rooms, covering traditional springing, stuffing and stitching techniques. Nancy’s bursary was funded by the Royal British Legion.
