John Allison, leatherworking

John Allison, from Hertfordshire, spent over two decades in public service and has developed self-taught leatherworking and repair skills. John was awarded a training bursary in 2026,  funding  his place on the Worshipful Company of Saddlers Level 1 programme at Capel Manor College and one-to-one training with Jacquie Lawson at the Auto Interior Academy. John’s bursary was funded by the Royal British Legion.
