Isobel Blackburn, tailoring

Isobel Blackburn, from Penarth, since completing a Masters in costume design and construction, Isobel developed a strong passion for hand sewing and historical costume making. She was awarded a training bursary in 2026, which has funded bespoke one-to-one training with professional costume maker Veronica Petersson to master traditional tailoring techniques and full suit construction. Isobel’s bursary was funded by the Ashley Family Foundation.
