Recipient Circle
Resources
An open community of makers and organisations whom Heritage Crafts has supported with a grant or bursary, or acknowledged with an award or successful National Honours nomination.
What does the circle offer me?
Our aim is to create a mutually-beneficial community, to further champion you and support your work for the long term, no matter what point in your career. This will evolve and develop over time but this page will host all opportunities. It’s a private page to share updates with for Recipients only. For now, find out more about a free years membership and two regular online events you can get involved with.
Online Events
Monthly Circle Social
We will host a monthly online Zoom social where you’re invited to come along and spend time with other makers. It can feel a little cut-off sometimes as a maker, especially in the winter, so it will be a chance to bring a cuppa and have a chat. There’s no pressure to attend, but the space is there if you’d like to join. They take place on the second Monday evening of each month 6-7pm.
Don’t worry about remembering dates – you can register for all the events on Zoom now, in one go and Zoom will magically send a reminder in advance of the session. If you can’t make it, no need to send apologies, but it means you don’t need to keep track of things!

Recipient Surgery
We will host a Zoom call every other month where you can come along to work through any specific craft or career challenges or questions you have. This could be anything from advice on other places for funding for a specific project to how to promote yourself on social media. At least two of the team will attend and if we don’t know the answers, we probably know someone who can help. No pressure to attend, but sometimes it’s easier to have a chat rather than an email. They take place on a Wednesday morning at 10am.
Again, don’t worry about remembering dates – you can register for all the events on Zoom now, in one go and Zoom will magically send a reminder in advance of the session. If you don’t need any support at the time, then save your time, but the door is always open!

A Free Years Membership to: The Makers!
Receive a year’s free membership as part of the Circle. You can use it to connect with other makers in your local area in our regional groups, use it to showcase your work with a public profile on our Makers’ Directory, or come along to members-only online talks or in-person meet-ups.
If you are already a member – thank you. We would like to offer you the chance to gift a year’s membership to someone who would appreciate it. They don’t have to be a maker, but perhaps someone who appreciates craft – or a timely Christmas present for someone!
How to organise your membership
All you need to do is email Bizz (our Membership Officer) – [email protected] – with your name and email address and she will liaise with you from there. If you’re already a member, just send her the full name and email address of the person to whom you would like to gift a year’s membership.
Please remember, if you don’t fancy joining an online session or timings don’t work out, then feel free to email Tess Osman (Grants and Awards Officer) – [email protected] – if you need support.
