About

I am a Staffordshire based glass artist working primarily with glue chipped glass, which I gild with gold leaf, varying from around 18-24 carat depending on the subject that I am working on.
I have been creative all of my life, from drawing birds of prey as a young lad, designing my own cars and moving on to traditional oil and acrylic works later in life.
Around 2018 I started to create automotive works in acrylics, as it seemed to be a natural progression to combine my two loves or cars and art, which are still echoed in my works today.
I turned full time in 2022, leaving my professional career as a Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager of over 45 years to follow my passion, and soon discovered a love for gold leaf which I started to incorporate into my work.
It didn't take long for me to discover the amazing work of David A Smith MBE, and then I was hooked, and I have been creating work in glass and gold leaf exclusively ever since.
I have recently started adding carbon fibre to me work, and I am also looking to expand into the Icon genre of artwork as well as returning to wildlife subjects.
I am open to commissions, of which I have created many.
