Driven by a need to communicate visually, and a desire to see small businesses thrive against the clout of the global mega brand The Urban Pedlar is on a mission to uphold the adage that in Britain small is beautiful and we are still a nation of shopkeepers.
As urgent as the global climate emergency the will to survive of small independents is something worth fighting for - a vibrant community of spirited individuals who are putting their all into their creative enterprise, and are deserving of the support and loyalty of local communities.
With a degree in Calligraphy tucked into her overalls The Urban Pedlar became fascinated by the art of traditional Signwriting that had its heyday from the Victorian era through to the 1970s, and was inspired by the free spirited bohemian lifestyle of these individuals who ‘live by the brush’.
Available for commission based work in the SW London area.
