About
Sophie Lowe studied 3D metals at Middlesex University, under the tutelage of Peter Johns, Roger Taylor, Julia Mannheim and Alistair Mc Callum; she graduated in 1992 and has over 30 years of experience in precious and non precious metals. She has taught jewellery, metals, sculpture and drawing for 25 years in colleges and universities.
Her current work uses traditional chasing and repousse techniques alongside her drawing practice to create a narrative around protection and protest against violence directed at women.
