Printmaker - Specialising in Intaglio techniques
Sarah Mander is a printmaker with over 30 years of experience. She makes limited edition prints for exhibition and commission. Her work can be abstract dealing with concepts of technology.
It can also focus in on objects, particularly tools of trades, parts of aircraft or spacecraft or early computers that were at the cutting edge of technology or on the cusp of change. These objects tell a story and she wants to celebrate these objects and concepts.
Sarah uses Etching, Drypoint and Collagraph printing techniques and has recently included collage into her practice. She has an experimental approach to her work, often letting the materials or printing process guide the work. But still holding onto her overarching themes of History, Heritage and innovation.
