About
I'm Sandrine Bramley, founder of The Frog in the Craft, a Nottinghamshire-based heritage craft business specialising in button making and textile crafts.
My work focuses particularly on heritage button making, including Dorset buttons, Yorkshire buttons and other textile buttons. Through workshops, kits, tools and learning resources, I help people discover and practise these historic techniques in a modern, accessible way.
Inspired by an early interest in heritage crafts and traditional skilled trades, I am committed to helping preserve these techniques and ensuring they remain relevant and accessible to contemporary makers. I believe heritage crafts should be available to everyone, regardless of previous experience, and I focus on clear, beginner-friendly teaching and practical resources that help people build confidence and continue exploring the craft.
Living with fibromyalgia myself, I understand the value that making can bring in supporting wellbeing, connection and a sense of achievement. This perspective influences both my teaching and the way I develop learning experiences for others.
In 2026, The Frog in the Craft received Michelle Welsh MP's Creative Business of the Year Award 2025-26, recognising the customer care, community engagement and supportive approach that underpin my work.
