About
We (Philippa and Dieter Räder) provide services in fine hand bookbinding, library and archives conservation-restoration, and letterpress printing. Clients range from individuals, private collectors and booksellers to university and cathedral libraries, national collections and museums. Between us we have almost 70 years of experience working both independently and within major institutions. Committed to keeping alive and passing on specialist skills and knowledge, particularly concerning traditional craft techniques and historic structures, we hold tuition workshops from beginner to advance level. Students can book accommodation in our historic home to enjoy an immersive learning experience. We also enjoy hosting open studio visits as part of local community arts and crafts events.
