I make hand carved, hand painted and hand stitched leather goods — bracers, belts and pouches — using traditional vegetable tanned leather and techniques that have remained unchanged for centuries. Every piece is unique, made one at a time, built to last a lifetime. Each commission begins with a conversation and ends with something that carries the marks of a human hand, the weight of genuine intention and the quality of material chosen to age and deepen with the person wearing it.
Mental health matters deeply to me — particularly for those men who carry everything quietly and ask for nothing in return. Too many people have left this world not knowing how loved they truly were. Ravens Rock exists to close that gap. Through a bespoke collaborative process I work with the people who love them — partners, families, friends — to capture what they feel but struggle to say. That sentiment becomes the design, the symbols, the inscription. The finished piece carries it silently and permanently. Magic, connection and love made tangible. Worn over the pulse point. Present on the darkest nights. I have travelled through my own darkness and fire and I know intimately the emptiness that consumes.
Ravens Rock is a play on words — deliberately so, in the spirit of Loki. A raven's call is commonly referred to as a rock, or kronk — so Ravens Rock is quite literally the sound a raven makes. But the name runs deeper. The rock at the centre of the Ravens Rock world is the moon — brought across the night sky in Norse mythology by Máni, who watched over those on a journey through the darkness. The raven carries thought and memory. The moon provides the light. Together they form a trio — sound, symbol and story — rooted in a mythology that has spoken to wanderers, survivors and threshold crossers for a thousand years. I watched over a hill for 20 years, caring for its wildlife, stone and animals, it was steeped in norse folklore, so this has influenced me greatly.
