About

Neil Lemaire is a London-based bronze founder, mould maker, and sculptor, originally from the Isle of Man, working from a forge studio at the London Museum of Water & Steam.

With over 30 years’ experience working with metal and materials, including more than 20 years in professional fine art bronze casting, Neil trained and worked at leading UK foundries, including Arch Bronze, where he specialised in high-detail lost wax casting for sculpture and awards.

He now runs an independent practice, combining traditional foundry techniques with a focus on material understanding, surface, and process. His work spans bespoke casting for artists and designers as well as his own sculptural pieces, often inspired by natural forms and the transformation of materials through heat and time.

Alongside his studio practice, Neil teaches bronze casting and mould making through BronzeCastingUK, offering hands-on courses for both beginners and professionals. His teaching focuses on clarity, process, and direct engagement with materials.

Working within a historic industrial setting, Neil is committed to preserving and evolving heritage casting techniques while making them accessible through education and contemporary application.
