About
I am a textile practitioner and part time art student enjoying double cloth weaving, with a particular interest I preserving and developing heritage textile techniques, since shadowing curators in Welsh Wool Museum 25/26. My work explores the structural and narrative possibilities of double cloth, using layered construction to create depth, concealment, and revealed imagery within woven form.
I am especially drawn to traditional weaving methods that are currently under threat, and I am committed to sustaining and evolving these through contemporary application. Working primarily with natural fibres, I value the slow processes, material integrity, and the relationship between cloth and memory, and place.
As an emerging maker, I am focused on deepening my technical skill in double cloth construction while exploring how heritage being can be made relevant to modern audiences. I am interested in collaborative learning, research-led practice, and opportunities that support the continuation of endangered textile knowledge. Diolch
