About
Leah Jelf specialises in encaustic tile making using traditional medieval encaustic tile making techniques. Referencing the decorative language of 13th–15th century priory tiles, her work reimagines these historical artefacts through a contemporary, autobiographical lens.
Leah (b. 2003) is a British artist and ceramicist, born in Germany and currently based in London. Her practice centres on contemporary ceramics, with a focus on traditional craft techniques and autobiographical storytelling. She holds an MA in Ceramics & Glass from the Royal College of Art and a BA in Fine Art from the University of the West of England.
