About

Textile production has always been a pivotal element in prehistoric life and it's hugely rewarding to explore ancient textiles techniques, including spinning, weaving, sewing, nalbinding, felting and dying. I create items inspired by Bronze Age, Iron Age and Early Medieval objects and styles, as well as leading workshops and talks for adults and children.

My background is a mixture of clothing production, museum learning and teaching. I love to see people get excitement from engaging with historical objects and then creating their own responses inspired by them. I'm always learning something new and exploring new techniques and materials, leading on to demonstrating these for new crafters to learn. I teach in a museum setting and an alternative provision for children, as well as being a Viking Age reenactor.
