About

I am a rag rug maker,  felt maker, and natural dyer.
I work using a shuttle hook, rug hook and bodger~ all traditional rag rug making hand tools; to create a looped or clipped surface, using recycled textiles.
I make felt clothing and jewellery, and have recently taken up natural dyeing.
I work from my home studio in East Sussex England.

My work exhibited in the V&A museum London, and at
Tate Britain, Millbank; also for the National Trust, and for
Charleston, home of the Bloomsbury artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, who commissioned my reproduction rag rug, that lies in John Maynard Keynes bedroom at Charleston Farmhouse, Firle, East Sussex, which is open to the public.

I appeared on channel 4 tv for Kirstie Allsopp's Homemade and for the BBC Southeast with my Creativity in Schools' textile recycling project in Brighton schools, sponsored by Veolia, Brighton and Hove city Council., and KCC.

I teach at West Dean College near Chichester and run my own pop up workshops for any group with a venue!

My textile art pieces are inspired by nature and the natural world I enjoy forageing plant material for the dye pot, collecting wool caught on wire fences for felt, and sourcing all sorts of textiles for my rag rug making.

I work to commission, and create work for shows, festivals and local galleries .

I am a member of the Heritage Crafts Association
