About
Based in the Scottish Highlands, Thistle and Cloth brings together a love of wool, traditional skills and garment making. With one of the few Merino flocks in Scotland, I can explore the journey from fleece to finished garment, connecting the wool produced on the farm with the clothes we wear.
My specialty is handstitched Heritage Style kilts, alongside other bespoke tartan garments (dresses, corsets etc). Having a military background attention to detail has been ingrained in me, so quality and traditional hand skills combined with a personal customer experience to involve every customer in the creation process of their kilt result in a unique Kilt, to be worn and treasured.
I am passionate about understanding where our materials come from and keeping traditional making skills alive, while creating garments that have a real connection to our local and rural Highland Communities.
