About
In conversation it came up that my lace pillow is really a reflection of my life in making lace.I started making lace in 1988 which means I've been doing this for over half my life. Every bobbin tells a place or a gift, every bead tells a story. There are the beads that I bought each month when I started. There are the bobbins bought to celebrate events in my life.
In 2000 I start my journey into Japanese Braiding, kumihimo, when I discovered that using a Marudai was like making lace in three dimensions.
As a professional business trainer, teaching lace and kumihimo was a natural step. I also supply equipment and supplies for kumihimo at craft fairs to promote the skills.
