About

I handbuild Moon Jars using pinching and coiling techniques.  To decorate the surfaces I use a combination of terra sigallata and smoke, and glazes and smoke.  My aim to to produce a ceramic surface which reflects the dark and light areas of the lunar surface.  I also handbuild water pails, with 'found' wooden handles, eg draftwood.

I use both commercial and glazes I have developed myself. I use mostly studio white earthenware clay, with occasional forays into stoneware and sometimes even paper porcelain clay
