About
The larger part of my work is woven from local Herdwick and Swaledale yarn from sheep hefted to the local Cumbrian fells and their fleece used my rug making. I use the four natural undyed colours plus a small range of dyed yarn specific to each rug’s requirement. My weaving is both personal and carried out to meet the individual requirements of the purchaser. Enquires are always welcome.
Weaving is carried out on a traditional loom in a small building where weaving was first carried out in the 1850’s. The return of hand weaving is now continuing into the twenty first century as a tribute to the earlier weavers.
