Fattoad Press is a small craft and design studio based in Argyll, Scotland, making useful objects in leather, paper and print.
The work brings together hand-stitched leatherwork, bookbinding and printmaking with a contemporary design approach. Objects are made in small collections from quality materials, carefully finished, and intended for everyday use.
Fattoad Press exists in response to the noise and disposability of modern life. Many everyday objects are over-designed, short-lived, or quickly forgotten. This studio takes a slower approach, focusing on restraint, usefulness, and materials that improve with time.
The aim is simple: to make things that feel right in the hand, sit quietly in a space, and reward attention the longer they are used.
