About
Catherine Edwards is a leatherworker with a lifelong passion for traditional craftsmanship. Her journey began as a teenager, working with a traditional clog maker on the Welsh Borders.
Moving on to studying Footwear Production and Design at Cordwainer’s College, London, then completing a five-year apprenticeship with John Lobb Boot and Shoemakers in London.
Since 2003, she has been designing and making her own leather goods, combining time-honoured, traditional techniques with contemporary design.
Catherine now combines commission and design, with teaching leatherwork, passing on heritage skills and inspiring a new generation of makers to value the art of working with leather by hand.
