Bruce Macleod has a lifetimes experience of manipulating sheet metal. He began his working life as a Coachbuilder, making steel and aluminium alloy bodies for historic and classic vehicles, progressing onto making complex double-curvature shaped panels in a variety of metals such as copper, brass and stainless steel for various marine and Architectural projects including making the copper petals for the 2012 London Olympic cauldrons.
Bruce also has qualifications in joinery and tool making and is a highly regarded authority in his craft having published two books on vehicle body sheet metalwork. Through the car body restoration courses, he has been running for over two decades, he has trained around a thousand professionals and amateurs in the making of body panels and restoration of original vehicle bodies.
Bruce retains a passion for restoring vehicle bodies and making items in various metals and continues to work on a range of bespoke commissions.
