About

Founded by Keith Barley in 1973, Barley Studio has an international reputation for excellence in stained glass creation and conservation for cathedrals, stately homes, parish churches and prestigious secular buildings across the UK and beyond.

The multi-skilled team is headed by Directors Keith Barley MBE and Helen Whittaker MBE. All work is carried out in-house in our purpose-built stained glass studio in York.

We take an individually tailored approach to each project, developed in consultation with our clients; whether creating striking new designs to commission or devising conservation strategies for historic glass.

We adhere to industry standards of health and safety, with employees PASMA trained in mobile scaffolding, IPAF certified for mobile elevating work platforms, and carrying Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) cards.
