About
Aaron Mighty is a Black British craftsman focused on creating tactile furniture from British wood, bridging sculptural storytelling and function. Based in South East London, his practice explores the relationship between mindfulness meditation in nature and craft. His work is also shaped by experiences growing up in local woodlands, where designs celebrate both his British-Carribean lineage.
Triggered by global instabilities, he now sees his work as an expressive medium into how imperfect wood can be celebrated to preserve beauty and provenance. Ethical British timber is also carefully selected to support with sustainable forestry efforts, using their variety of wood species available.
Aaron merges fine craftsmanship with traditional woodworking to bring unique stories to life! Each of the designs also celebrate the journey of wood and our relationship with trees.
