Endangered Crafts Fund check-in and evaluation
The Endangered Crafts Fund supports makers who are keeping rare and at-risk craft/trades skills alive. Your work is vital, and your updates help us understand the difference this support is making — not only for you, but for the future of these crafts across the UK.
This page brings together everything you need to complete your check-ins and final evaluation. You can return here at any time to submit your updates.
Check-ins
During your project, we ask you to complete up to two checkins. If you would like to submit more, you are most welcome! These short updates help us understand:
- how your project is progressing
- any challenges you’re facing
- whether you need additional support
- early outcomes, discoveries or successes
- anything unexpected that has emerged along the way
Check-ins don’t need to be long. They’re simply a way for us to stay connected with you and ensure your project has the best chance of success.
It should take no longer than 15 mins to complete.

Final evaluation
When your project is complete, we ask you to fill in a final evaluation form. This is your opportunity to reflect on the whole journey — what you achieved, what you learned, and what difference the funding has made to your craft, your business or your community. Your evaluation helps us:
- demonstrate the impact of supporting endangered crafts
- share your story with funders, partners and the wider public (if applicable)
- understand what had worked well and where improvements could have been made
- build a stronger case for future support for endangered crafts
- inspire others who may be considering similar projects
We encourage you to be open and reflective. Your insights help shape the future of the Endangered Crafts Fund.
It should take no longer than 30mins to complete.

Tips for completing the forms:
- You can complete the forms on a computer, tablet or phone.
- If you need to pause, you can save your progress and return later (you will need to create an
account in JotForm to do this). - Be as open as you feel comfortable — your reflections help shape the future of the
programme. - If you have photos, examples of work, or evidence of your training, please upload them
where the form allows. - If anything isn’t working or you need help, you can contact us at any time.
We’re here to support you for the long-run
If you have questions about your project, need help with the forms, or want to talk through anything else, please get in touch with Tess, Recipient Engagement and Impact Lead – [email protected].
Also, please remember, that just because your project has finished, it doesn’t mean your support from us is over. We don’t just want to be a one-off funder, but a champion of you and your craft/trade. So we are here for the long run. The Recipient Circle is an open community of makers and organisations whom Heritage Crafts has supported.
