About

The inspiration for my work comes from studying the movement and reflections of the sea as well as ammonites and their delicate, strong structures. These lifelong fascinations have led to observation of form, reflection and light and experimentation with manipulation of metal.
These rippled forms have become my signature style and have won several awards over the years. Awards include the Gold Medal for Craft and Design at the National Eisteddfod of Wales 2008 and Goldsmiths Craftsmanship and Design Awards, London.
Whilst working mainly in silver and gold I also enjoy working with copper and steel on a small scale.
In 2010 I designed and made the Eisteddfod Crown (one of Wales’ most prestigious commissions) and I have silver pieces in the permanent collections of Sheffield Assay Office and the Millennium Galleries in Sheffield.
In addition to undertaking a Degree in Metalwork and Jewellery in Sheffield from 2004-7 I have attended numerous part time/short courses since 1986.
My work has been exhibited across the UK and in USA.
