About
My Core work is the restoration of Victorian encaustic ( patterned) tiles and geometric ( cut into shapes e.g. triangles )
other pre-1919 historic tiling, mosaic, terracotta, smalti, we also install & design Victorian reproduction encaustic & geometric tiled floors . cut tile murals and similar are also designed & installed.
I have restored over 300 Grade 1 listed buildings and similar classification in other countries, my work takes me nationally to every part of the UK, I also work abroad and have worked as far north as Alaska and far south as New Zealand and most places in-between. I mentor people who are interested in my rare skill-set and i hope to see my skill taught at national level eventually . although i have tried to get training established for over 30 years.
i am a member of ICON and am studying for an ACR, Also a member of the Michelangelo Institute.
I dabble with art based mosaic pictures & murals on a random basis.
