Founded in 2004, the Michael Ruh Studio in South London creates exceptional glassware for individuals and global luxury brands, led by glass-blower Michael Ruh and his wife, fellow glass artist Natascha Wahl.
Known for a refined, purist aesthetic, the studio emphasises harmonious colour palettes and minimal embellishment in its handcrafted pieces. Each item—from tableware and lighting to unique commissions for interior and retail projects—is crafted using pure, optical-quality recycled glass, and production is limited to a handful of pieces per day. Many pieces are distinguished by Michael’s signature incised line-work, inspired by Bokuseki calligraphy and applied with bold precision, capturing a sense of timeless artistry in every design.
