About

Hi my name is Joe Gregory, I'm a willow basket maker and sculptor based in West Yorkshire.

I started weaving as a hobby in 2004 and by 2008, I realised I could make a living doing a craft that I loved.

Starting from my kitchen table to now owning a 5 storey Georgian building in the centre of Todmorden; weaving with Willow has provided me with the most rewarding career whilst enabling me to keep my family safe and healthy.

I teach sculpture and basket making for everyone from beginners to more advanced weavers. I have also been lucky enough to teach internationally, as well as up and down the country.

I've worked on some amazing projects over the years and feel very lucky to have found this beautiful craft.

I am comfortable teaching children; beginners and more advanced weavers. Each class rewards me in different ways.

I have been fortunate to teach those with different needs; from sight problems, to people returning from a stroke, to those with their own special needs. I am always happy to craft my class to suit everyone I teach.
