About

I’m a professional milliner using traditional millinery techniques to make innovative, bespoke headpieces for individuals, fashion, and theatre.  With fine art and millinery training I have a materials-led practice and unique aesthetic. I have a reputation as someone with an interest in transforming rubbish/leftovers into “Trash Hats” in which eccentric fabrics (cat food pouches, used teabags etc) are transformed into stunning headpieces. Craft has always been enormously important to me as well as cross pollination from other disciplines. Using tools and techniques ‘borrowed’ from different craft disciplines produces uniqueness.  I pride myself on having a high level of technique and skill.
