About
I am printmaker and arts facilitator, my art is both research and process driven incorporating text, narrative, and imagery, interwoven in a multidisciplinary visual language. I use a variety of methods such as monoprint, silkscreen, collagraph, etching and cyanotype, working on both paper and fabric.
In 2024 I had the pleasure of being one of eight printmakers to create work live at Ikon Gallery on a 1800's etching press, in a micro residency. My work was then exhibited along side the Jerwood collection with artist such as David Hockney in a celebration of printmaking in Ikon's 'Start the Press' exhibition.
My work is inspired by history, identity and disability. At times it is autobiographical, and often includes the lived experiences of other disabled people. This has become an ongoing collaboration between their narrative and my artistry. Creating disability awareness is an important part of my practice, which often manifests in tactile pieces designed to be handled. As an arts facilitator, I am well-versed in making my workshops and participatory events accessible.
I exhibit regularly in the UK. Funding from organisations including Arts Council England have enabled me to work internationally as artist in residence in Canada, leading to further residencies, exhibitions and funding.
