About
I am a full time ‘jobbing woodturner’. I decided right from the outset that I would be a spindle turner, as opposed to a bowl turner.
As a turner of wood I actually have both skills to turn either and do so regularly, as some items I make do require a turned base and bowls are always a useful item around the home.
But as both a spindle and a production turner, I am capable of making the same item many times over, accurately. I remake staircase balusters (spindles) and other architrave parts for Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian or other homes to replace those broken over the years and no longer available through modern sources.
I make replacement parts for antique restoration and clock makers as well as turned wooden parts for engineering works.
I am also a maker of crafting tools from lace bobbins to parts for spinning wheels.
I am an Association Of Woodturners of Great Britain (AWGB) approved demonstrator and Certified Woodturning Tutor. I am also available for Organisational and Church Group talks.
