Imogen Bright Moon (b.1983) is a British Romani textile artist, craftmaker and weaver. Imogen formally studied textiles from 1999-2005 during extensive industrial workshop-based training at BTEC ND (Distinction), BA (Hons, First), and bursary apprenticeship (RSC).
Creating contemporary textile works through her studio practice, which uses heritage hand-spinning and hand-weaving techniques (cloth, rug, tapestry and innovated velvet) and tools, including a second-wave Arts + Crafts Movement Dryad Rug Loom, design c.1936 by Harry Peach.
Imogen has taught internationally at BA and MA level since 2006, writing and teaching 3rd year BA modules and MA masterclass workshops for students of fashion, costume and textiles.
Imogen is the author of Wild Yarn; Creating hand-spun yarn from ethical fibres (Batsford, 2024).
Her works can be found in the national public art collection (Museums Worcestershire / Art UK), and at The New Craftmaker, London.
