About
Alison is a textile worker and leatherworker. She specialises in historic replicas. Describing herself as one of the last surviving "Cappers" she makes knitted and fulled caps based on historic designs: either copies of extant museum exhibits or interpretations based on contemporary images. If you want a cap based on the one worn by the effigy of dead king, or one shown in a medieval manuscript illustration, Alison can probably make you one. She also makes copies of other historic knitting including the Gunnister Purse.
