About
Having worked outdoors as a landscaper for nearly 10 years a great deal of my practice is focused around the materiality of the natural landscape.
Graduating Cardiff Metropolitan University with a 1st Class Bachelor of Arts and an additional ‘EDGE Award’ for outstanding practice of sustainable craft and ecology of future practice. As an Artist: Designer/Maker I specialise in traditional handtooling, chair bodging and contemporary ephemeral arts.
Utilising green wood allows my carved work to live a ‘second-life’; cracking, warping and bending as the material dries out. I use the characteristic of ephemerality to build narratives and help convey the stories embedded within my work.
From February-May 2025 my work ‘bodger’s eulogy’ will be available to view at New Brewery Arts, Cirencester. Supported by Heritage Crafts the exhibition ‘and the work goes on’ showcases emerging young makers and craftspeople.
