Winner of the 2014 HCA/Marsh Trainer Award
Wendy runs the largest independent soft furnishing and upholstery centre in the country, and almost 400 students have been taught a range of accredited and non-accredited courses, with 93 per cent achieving credit or distinction pass rate. Many of her students now work in industry.
With four trainers at her own centre, Wendy acts as a mentor to next generation of trainers, ensuring that good craftsmanship and craft skills are passed on. Wendy advises all 14 Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers Training Centres and has developed qualifications for them. She is now also working with local schools.
