Jean Leader – The Lace Guild

Jean has a formidable background in the lace craft, including (and this only scrapes the surface) an active member of Glasgow Lace Group, editor of the Scottish Lace Newsletter, chair of The Lace Guild’s education sub-committee, and numerous advisory roles internationally.

With technical support from her husband she launched the first Guild website in 1997 and in 2013 they launched a lace identification app.

Her passion for research and sharing her findings, along with her involvement internationally, has encouraged international understanding of lace and cross-fertilisation of ideas.
